Dear Faithful Friends of the Festival of Faiths:

For the past 12 years, I have had the immense honor of working at the Center for Interfaith Relations. It’s been a highlight of my professional life, and I am incredibly proud of all we have accomplished. That being said, it’s time for a new chapter — for me and for CIR.

At a meeting this past June, we announced to the Board of Directors my decision to step back from the position of Executive Director at the end of the year. The 28th Annual Festival will be the final touchpoint for me personally, but at the same time it will usher in an exciting period of imagining the next era for this organization and for the festival. It has been a privilege to steward CIR through tremendous innovation and growth, and I approach this juncture confident in the vitality and possibilities that lie ahead.

As I reflect on my tenure, I am grateful to have worked alongside faithful leadership, passionate and talented staff, gracious volunteers, mission-minded partners and amazing donors who have sustained this organization for many years. But the most meaningful part of this work has been the opportunity to get to know you better and to engage with you in important dialogue, guided by expressions of faith. love and compassion.

My biggest wish at this moment is that you will join us for the 2024 Festival of Faiths (November 13-16), where we will imagine our deepest hopes for each other, live out our values and fulfill our unique purposes together. I invite you to consider buying a festival pass, spreading the word, and sharing with friends the magic of this unique event.

It is an honor to serve in this role for one more festival, and I look forward to traveling with you in new ways as we all lean into our highest possibilities in the future.

Gratefully,

Sarah Riggs Reed
