Approach what you find repulsive
Help those you think you cannot help

elizabeth-photoMachig Labdron was one of Tibet’s most renowned female saints and teachers. She was a fearless and innovative 11th-century practitioner. Machig’s unique approach provides us with a path to transform our inner demons by invoking, embracing, and nurturing them. In this weekend, Elizabeth will lead us through guided meditations and discussions on these pithy slogans, which Machig received from her teacher, Padampa Sangye.

Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel, author of The Power of an Open Question: The Buddha’s Path to Freedom, has studied and practiced Buddhism for 30 years. She teaches throughout the U.S. and Europe and is known for her willingness to question the many assumptions we have about spirituality. Audiences often remark on how this approach has reinvigorated their spiritual practice and how they relate to their lives as a whole.
