Friday, Aug. 7, marks the start of a virtual cinema run of River City Drumbeat, a powerful tale of music, love, and legacies as told by the members of Louisville’s own River City Drum Corp community. Produced by Owsley Brown Presents, this intimate and uplifting film explores how art, music, and mentorship empowers people even in the face of historic and systemic injustices.
In anticipation of the virtual streaming, we dug deep in our Festival of Faiths archives to find this River City Drum Corp performance at FOF 1999.
