Kentucky’s new poet laureate Frederick Smock is a Louisville native and a professor of English at Bellarmine University. His work is filled with keen observations about the creation of art, the intersection of poetry and peace, and the striking scenes of everyday life. Fredrick Smock is the Final Judge for the Center for Interfaith Relations' 2017 Poetry of the Sacred Contest.
